تقدم منتخب مصر للمركز التاسع في التصنيف العالمي الذي يصدره الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم (فيفا) شهريا وذلك رغم عدم مشاركة "الفراعنة" في نهائيات كأس العالم 2010.
وتقدم منتخب مصر ثلاثة مراكز عن تصنيف الشهر الماضي، والذي كان يحتل فيه المركز الثاني عشر.
ويعد هذا المركز هو الأفضل لمنتخب مصر على مدار تاريخه متخطيا المركز العاشر الذي وصل إليه في شهر يناير الماضي.
وتفوق منتخب مصر على كافة المنتخبات الإفريقية والعربية في ترتيب فيفا.
كما تفوق الفراعنة لأول مرة في تاريخ التصنيف على منتخبات عريقة بحجم إيطاليا وفرنسا، حيث احتلت الأولى المركز الـ11 فيما جاءت الثانية في المرتبة الـ21.
وقفزت إسبانيا بطل العالم للمرتبة الأولى بدلا من البرازيل التي تراجعت للمركز الثالث، فيما تقدمت وصيفة المونديال هولندا للمركز الثاني.
