نيويورك (رويترز) - قالت هيئة الاذاعة البريطانية يوم الخميس ان تييري هنري مهاجم منتخب فرنسا لكرة القدم أعلن اعتزاله اللعب دوليا وكان هنري (32 عاما) اللاعب السابق في ارسنال الانجليزي وبرشلونة الاسباني والذي انضم الى فريق نيويورك رد بولز بدوري المحترفين الامريكي لكرة القدم يوم الاربعاء لعب دورا صغيرا في مشوار فرنسا المخيب للامال في كأس العالم بجنوب افريقيا عندما خرج منتخب بلاده من دور المجموعات في البطولة وقال هنري في مؤتمر صحفي "اتخذت قراري قبل كأس العالم. ما حدث في جنوب افريقيا لم يلعب دورا في قراري. كان من الممكن ان أعلن القرار قبل كأس العالم لكن لم أكن أريد ان يكون له تأثير على الفريق. حان الوقت لاعتزالي ويتصدر هنري قائمة هدافي منتخب فرنسا عبر تاريخه برصيد 51 هدفا في 123 مباراة دولية لكنه شارك في لقاء واحد كبديل في كأس العالم بجنوب افريقيا
NEW YORK (Reuters) - The BBC said on Thursday that the striker Thierry Henry France Football announced his retirement from international football.
Henry was (32 years), former player at Arsenal and Barcelona, who joined the New York Red Bulls, NBA League on Wednesday to play a small role in the career of France's disappointing World Cup in South Africa when he came out his team at the group stage.
Henry said in a news conference: "I made my decision before the World Cup. What happened in South Africa did not play a role in my decision. It was possible that the decision was announced before the World Cup but I did not want to have an impact on the team. It's time to retire."
Henry leads the top scorer in France throughout its history with 51 goals in 123 international appearances, but he participated in one meeting as a substitute in the World Cup in South Africa.
