أعلن الاتحاد البرازيلي لكرة القدم اليوم السبت أن البرازيلى «مانو مينيزيس» وافق على تولي تدريب المنتخب الأول خلفا للمدرب السابق كارلوس دونجا.
The Confederation of Brazilian football on Saturday that Brazilian «Mano Menezes» and agreed to become the first coach to replace former coach Carlos Dunga.

وأكد «ريكاردو تيكسيرا» رئيس اتحاد الكرة البرازيلي أن «مينيزيس» صاحب الـ(48 عاما) حصل على فرصة للتفكير في العرض وأنه أعلن اليوم السبت موافقته على تدريب منتخب نجوم السامبا.
وقال مينيزيس "إنها لسعادة وفخر أن أوافق على تدريب المنتخب الوطني..لكل الشعب البرازيلي أؤكد أني وافقت على الدعوة".
ومن المقرر أن يبدأ مينيزيس فورا مهام منصبه الجديد في تجمع منتخب البرازيل الاثنين المقبل للاستعداد لمباراة الولايات المتحدة الودية في العاشر من أغسطس المقبل في نيوجيرسي.
ويأمل الاتحاد البرازيلى أن يقود «مينيزيس» البرازيل للفوز ببمونديال (2014) الذي ستستضيفه البرازيل أملا في تحقيق اللقب العالمي السادس.
وخلال مسيرته التدريبية فاز «مينيزيس» بثلاث بطولات محلية (ريو جراندي دو سول)، واحدة مع فريق «جواراني»، واثنتين
مع «جريميو»، كما فاز مع فريق «كورينثيانز» ببطولتي «ساو باولو» وبطولة كأس البرازيل.
كما قاد فريق «جريميو» للصعود الى دوري الدرجة الأولى عام (2005) قبل أن يتأهل الى نهائي بطولة كأس ليبرتادوريس في (2007) والتي خسرها امام بوكا جونيورز الأرجنتيني، كما قاد كورينثيانز للصعود ايضا في (2008).
