BUENOS AIRES (Reuters) - The Argentine Football Association said on Tuesday the end of the journey Diego Maradona as national coach, the first president after a unanimous vote among the members of the Governing Council on the renewal of his contract.
The future of Maradona in doubt since the loss of Argentina 4 - zero to Germany in the quarter-finals of the World Cup in South Africa earlier this month.
A spokesman for the AFA at a news conference after a meeting of the Board of Directors, "the Executive Committee decided unanimously not to renew the contract Diego Armando Maradona as national coach, the first of the country."
And it was rumored before the announcement that Maradona would not continue as coach of the team, a position he has held since November November 2008 due to disagreements with the AFA of the game.
That means the departure of Maradona, Argentina must search for a new coach for the Copa America, hosted by the country next year.
According to local media that Carlos Bianchi is a leading candidate for the post of successor to Maradona after leading Boca Juniors to a series of titles at the local and continental levels in two stints with the club between 1998 and 2004.
The list of candidates to take over a successor to Maradona many of the names, led by Alex Sabia Estudiantes coach and former coach Americo Jayeju for Independiente and former coach Marcelo Bielsa of Argentina, in addition to former striker Ramon Diaz of Argentina, River Plate and Inter Milan.

وأصبح مستقبل مارادونا محل شك منذ خسارة الارجنتين 4-صفر أمام المانيا في دور الثمانية لنهائيات كأس العالم بجنوب افريقيا في وقت سابق هذا الشهر
وقال متحدث باسم الاتحاد الارجنتيني في مؤتمر صحفي بعد اجتماع لمجلس الادارة قررت اللجنة التنفيذية بالاجماع عدم تجديد عقد دييجو ارماندو مارادونا كمدرب للمنتخب الوطني الاول للبلاد
وتناثرت شائعات قبل هذا الاعلان ان مارادونا لن يستمر كمدرب للمنتخب وهو المنصب الذي شغله منذ نوفمبر تشرين الثاني 2008 بسبب خلافات مع الاتحاد الارجنتيني للعبة
ويعني رحيل مارادونا ان الارجنتين يجب عليها البحث عن مدرب جديد من أجل بطولة كوبا امريكا التي تستضيفها البلاد العام القادم
وذكرت وسائل اعلام محلية ان كارلوس بيانكي هو المرشح الابرز للمنصب خلفا لمارادونا بعدما قاد بوكا جونيورز لسلسلة من الالقاب على الصعيدين المحلي والقاري خلال فترتين مع النادي بين 1998 و2004
وتتضمن قائمة المرشحين لتولي المسؤولية خلفا لمارادونا العديد من الاسماء وعلى رأسهم اليكس سابيا مدرب استوديانتس وامريكو جاييجو المدرب السابق لاندبندينتي ومارسيلو بيلسا المدرب السابق للارجنتين اضافة لرامون دياز المهاجم السابق للارجنتين وريفر بليت وانترناسيونالي الايطالي
