كما قرر الاتحاد استمرار إيقاف اللاعب محلياً لحين سداد الغرامة المالية التي تم توقيعها علية
جاء ذلك خلال الإجتماع الذي عقد ظهر اليوم بمقر اتحاد الكرة ، والذي فُرض خلاله غرامة مالية أيضا على «نبيل أبو زيد» وكيل اللاعب قدرها نصف مليون جنيه ، والذي اعترف بتوقيع اللاعب لنادي الزمالك على بياض، في التحقيق الذي أجري معه قبل جلسة إعلان الحكم ، بالإضافة إلى إيقافه لمدة عام
وكان جدو قد اعترف رسمياً خلال التحقيقات التي أجريت معه من قبل باتحاد الكرة أنه وقع على بياض لنادي الزمالك ، لكنه لم يعلم بالمبالغ الماليه التي أدرجت في العقد ، ونفى أن يكون قد حصل على مبالغ مالية من الزمالك
وكان مجلس إدارة نادي الزمالك برئاسة ممدوح عباس ، قد هدد باللجوء إلى الاتحاد الدولى لكرة القدم «الفيفا» في حالة الاكتفاء بتغريم محمد ناجى «جدو» مالياً وعدم إيقافه
