من جانبه قال إبراهيم حسن مدير الكرة بالزمالك في تصريحات إذاعية عقب اللقاء أن حرس الحدود خرج بنقطة فيما خسر الزمالك نقطتين، مشيرا إلى أن الشكل الذي ظهر به اللاعبين في أول مباراة في الموسم كان أكثر من جيد
